Hours and Pay:
24 hours per week (days and hours will vary due to programming)
$15.00 per hour
$360.00 per week
Approximately 10 weeks employment(start and end date flexible)
$3600.00 total for summer

Job Description:
1. Intern will work directly with the naturalists and assist with all summer activities–included but not limited to: Summer camps, weekend programming in the camp ground, and public programs–either day or evenings. Assisting can include but not limited too: preparation, set up, group leading, teaching and clean up.
2. once trained intern will be responsible for the care, cleaning, and feeding of animals in the live animal room.
3. Prepare and present one public program and serve as the nature center greeter one weekend day each month.
4. Intern will be required to spend considerable time working in the outdoors. Programs could include but not limited too: fishing, hiking, canoeing, and prairie clean up.

Requirements:
1. Applicant minimum requirements are: high school diploma and be 18 years of age. Preferred candidate will be interested in pursuing a career in Environmental Educations, Natural Resources, Teaching or similar field.
2. Applicant must have a valid driver license and pass a background check and a drug screening test.
3. Minimum lifting requirement of up to 50 pounds.
